Detailed Itinerary

 

Day 1

Arrive at Glasgow Airport
Meet and greet with driver, transfer to hotel in Glencoe (2h)
Check-in
 

Day 2: Tuesday 26th August

Breakfast

Early visit to Glenfinnan Viaduct, trek the trail and view the train at 10.45. Visit Loch Shiel Viewpoint. Visit Eilean na Moine before returning to Glencoe. Visit Hagrid’s Hut and trek the Steall Waterfall in the afternoon before heading to Edinburgh.

Day 3:

 

Breakfast 

Walking tour of Edinburgh covering JK Rowling’s Handprints, Greyfriars Kirkyard Cemetery, The Elephant House, Victoria Street, New College, the Balmoral Hotel, The Cauldron (potion lesson) finishing in Dean Village

Day 4: 

 

Breakfast
Depart for Alnwick Castle (2 hours)
Take a flight lesson
Head into Durham, walking tour including Cathedral
Check-in to hotel

 

Day 5: 

Breakfast

Depart for Whitby to take the North Yorkshire Moors Railway Steam train to Pickering. Departs 10am and arrives 1140

Lunch in Pickering

Arrive in York

Walking tour covering York Minster, the Shambles, Nocturn Alley

Check-in to hotel

Day 6: 

Breakfast

Depart on train to London to Kings Cross

See Platform 9 ¾ before checking in to hotel

Head to Georgian House hotel for an afternoon tea

Return to hotel

Day 7:

Breakfast

Take a day trip to Warner Bros studios to bring the filimg experience to life

Day 8:

Take a city tour of London: Piccadilly Circus, HP statue in Leicester Square, Claremont square, House of MinaLima

 

Day 9:

Day trip to Oxford and Gloucester with private transfer - Gloucester Cathedral, Divinity School Oxford, Christ Church College, Bodleian Library and New College. Oxford guide will be with a former or current student.
